We were able to capture this before and after shot of a student shopping at the Clothes Closet Open House event this semester! Shoutout to Tom Z, the University Photographer!
Annual Event: Clothes Closet Open House
Below are a few students who have expressed their gratitude for the Clothes Closet!
Student Testimonials
Monica Velasquez
“The Clothes Closet staff is always so helpful. I can always find something in here whether it’s for an interview or for a daily look.” - Monica Velasquez, AMM Major
Moriah Merkelbach
Clothes Closet Intern, Moriah, found these layered palazzo pants at Clothes Closet. She recommends to come often as there are often great treasures that are donated throughout the weeks.
Alumni Testimonial
Diana (Ramirez) Serafin
“I was an international business and marketing student who worked on campus as a tour guide. Now I work on campus as a staff alumna in the Career Center helping students dress for success with the Clothes Closet and find fulfilling work.” - Diana (Ramirez) Serafin '10 #Bronco4Life
What We are Asking from YOU
Why are monetary donations necessary?
Being that we are a donation-based service, we are not always awarded with attire that fits every student. Some students at Cal Poly have found difficulty finding professional attire in their size. This is why monetary donations are essential for ensuring we can provide attire for every student at Cal Poly - for every gender, for every size, and of every style.
With your help, we will be able to expand our closet in an effort to support our students who are in need of professional clothing.
We are currently unable to accept donations of clothing at this time in light of the campus being closed, but would appreciate if you can hold onto professional items to donate at the Career Center (Building 97) as soon as the campus reopens!
Clothes Closet AMM Interns - Featured Project
Here is the latest project completed by the AMM Interns this semester, the Complete the Look Flyer! We could not operate this service nearly as efficiently if it weren't for our partnership with the Apparel and Merchandising Management Department working with us to provide internship opportunities every semester. Check out a couple versions of the Complete the Look flyer below!
