Women in Science and Engineering
Cal Poly Pomona WiSE

Thank you for your interest in supporting Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE).

The Cal Poly Pomona Women in Engineering Program (CPP WE) is expanding to include fields in science and will transition to become Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) effective Fall 2021. WiSE will provide women the resources and supportive services to succeed in engineering and science.

In collaboration with corporations, engineering alumni, University offices, faculty, and students, CPP WiSE will offer a variety of activities, including Chats (departmentally based faculty mentoring workshops), Alumnae Speaker Series (career development workshops), and a variety of student leadership development activities.

Your support will help us expand our new mentoring program to include engineering students and science students, as well as middle school and high school students participating in the Femineer Program. This mentoring program is a great opportunity for participants to increase their self-confidence, build a sense of belonging within the engineering and science community, and grow their network with engineering and science professionals.

CPP WiSE is dedicated to creating a supportive community for engineering and science students and strives to inspire young girls to consider engineering and science as a possible career. Exposing young girls to the creativity and excitement of engineering through role models and hands-on activities is an excellent way to build their interest and self-confidence.

The Femineer Program provides K-12 students with project-based learning and engineering student mentors. The program engages participants through highly creative, hands-on activities. Femineers acquire the technical knowledge and practical skills necessary to become confident and strong in their future careers. We hope to inspire many young girls to reach their potential through engineering!
