Join us at the forefront of this march towards a more equitable campus community.
Our future as a university must be linked to the success of Black communities.
The Black Thriving Initiative at Cal Poly Pomona is a response to anti-Blackness as an existential threat to our mission as a public university. Anti-Blackness stifles our ability to educate, discover, create, heal, and thrive.
Gifts to the Black Thriving Initiative are an investment that helps make that possible through campus community events, symposiums, and other opportunities for collective learning.
The staff and students of the Black Thriving Initiative working group would like to extend a special thank you to an anonymous donor who has generously offered to match the first $5,000 given to the Black Thriving Initiative as well as award an additional $5,000 when we reach our goal of 25 donations! The donor wished only to be recognized as A Good Ancestor Inspired by Layla Saad.
