Reading, Advising, & Mentoring Program
Support RAMP, a TRIO Student Support Services project!

Who We Are

The Reading, Advising, & Mentoring Program (RAMP) is a U.S. Department of Education TRIO Student Support Services project funded to serve 250 eligible Cal Poly Pomona students per year.

Our Mission

As a federally funded project, RAMP’s mission is to increase the retention and graduation rates of low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities at Cal Poly Pomona. RAMP fosters academic excellence, leadership development, and cultural awareness.

Your Support

Funds will be used to engage RAMP participants in activities that strive to close the achievement gap by providing opportunities to network, cultivate community, and foster a sense of belonging while promoting academic success and life long learning.

Every Gift Makes a Difference

On behalf of RAMP, we appreciate any contributions that are made this Giving Day. Thank you for fostering and supporting student success!

Student Testimonials

"I've learned a lot about myself by participating in RAMP. Also, socializing with my friends in RAMP has made me feel more connected to my campus community."

"No matter the profession, reading is a skill that cannot be avoided, and improvement will only end up helping me in the long run."

"The first-gen meeting had the most impact on me in that it was the first time I felt like I belonged in college."

"The improvement of my reading went hand in hand with the improvement of my confidence. I felt that I was at an advantage compared to other engineers as I worked on improving skills engineers typically neglect, and this impacted my overall confidence."
