The Black Alumni & Friends Chapter is dedicated to the educational, cultural and professional growth of the Black Community. Our commitment extends to our Cal Poly Pomona alumni and current Black students who are in the midst of their academic pursuits.
In partnership with the university, we recognize that recruiting and retaining Black students is a challenge based on a variety of factors. To combat these challenges, financial support can give them time to focus on their academic goals and ensure that their work experience aligns with their career path.
To support these efforts, the Black Alumni & Friends Chapter Board has established a scholarship to support students from all academic disciplines who have contributed to the advancement of African/Black people in the diaspora.
