By promoting awareness, knowledge and equity, we aspire to impact positive change within our campus community creating an inclusive culture for our students and validating the presence of our students with dependents. This vital support will enable our Parenting students to focus their energy on parenting and school and their academic journey. The CPP Children's Center is dedicated to parenting students by providing the opportunity of on-campus child care for their little ones as they journey through attaining their degree. At the Children's Center we are committed to fostering a learning environment for not only the children we serve, but also for current CPP students pursuing early childhood studies and other majors. CPP students can complete their fieldwork experience working with young children and learn valuable skills with the mentorship of teachers at the CPP Children's Center.
Now that we are back on campus providing in person childcare services the Children's Center would like to raise funds to assist with paying for special events for the children, purchase needed classroom Instructional supplies or to assist our parenting students with paying for childcare fees.
Some of the services offered to our parenting students are:
- On campus child care in an accredited Early Care and Education Program
- Referrals to off-campus childcare programs and services
- Holistic support (academic, personal, professional)
- Assistance with navigating campus policies and processes
- Connection with other parenting students
- Advocacy and support with campus faculty, staff, and administrators
- Parenting student workshops & recognition events
With this campaign, we would like to raise funds to support our parenting student population by assisting with purchasing items such as textbooks, class materials or provide emergency financial assistance for items such as, but not limited to, utilities, groceries, diapers, formula.
