The Disability Resource Center (DRC) removes barriers to access for students with disabilities so they may have equal opportunities to participate in all aspects of the university experience.
For Giving Day this year, the DRC is dedicated to raising scholarship funds -- your gift will support the success of students with disabilities by going directly to scholarships.
Of all students with disabilities who enroll in college, the average retention rate is only about 12%, and graduation rates are as low as 13% compared to 30% among non-disabled counterparts. Statistics like these underscore the importance of understanding the specific needs of this student population.
The DRC provides a number of services to students with disabilities, including accommodations, academic advising, student success coaching, technology resources, and ARCHES, a TRiO support services project that provides direct academic support.
Thank you for your support – it makes all the difference!
