Imagine the thrill of uncovering hidden wildlife right in our own backyard! Through CPP Wild, students engage in hands-on research, exploring the diverse wildlife of Voorhis Preserve using trail cameras and the community science platform, Zooniverse. To date, over 3,000 students—500 each semester—have participated in this program, making exciting discoveries while developing critical scientific skills. For many, this is their last opportunity to formally study the environment in an academic setting, inspiring a lifelong appreciation for conservation and research.
Now, we’re ready to take this experience to the next level! With your support, we can provide a class set of trail cameras, giving students the opportunity to set up, manage, and analyze their own wildlife footage. This hands-on, polytechnic approach will transform learning from virtual observation to real-world discovery. Your gift will help us equip future scientists with the tools they need to engage with nature in a meaningful way—make an impact today!
