CBA Student PolyX Travel Experiences
Double the impact for College of Business Student PolyX Travel experiences

At Cal Poly Pomona, we are dedicated to providing our students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that prepare them for success in their future careers. One of the ways we achieve this is through participation in collegiate competitions and travel experiences across various disciplines, including cybersecurity, supply chain, HR, marketing, and more. However, the cost of these competitions and experiences often hinder our students' ability to fully participate in these transformative experiences.

Enhancing Experiential Learning: The College of Business Administration, Singelyn Graduate Business School is renowned for its commitment to experiential learning. Participating in collegiate competitions allows our students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, gaining practical skills and insights that enrich their academic learning and prepare them for the workforce. Travel to  professional conferences allows for impactful engagement opportunities with industry experts.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Our teams consist of students from diverse backgrounds, including business, computer information systems (CIS), and computer science (CS). This interdisciplinary collaboration fosters teamwork, creativity, and innovation, mirroring the dynamic nature of today's business environment.

Real-World Relevance: Collegiate competitions provide students with opportunities to solve complex problems, make strategic decisions, and present their ideas to industry experts. These experiences simulate real-world challenges, preparing students for the demands of their future careers and equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in a competitive marketplace. Conference allow students the ability to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices as their prepare for their career.

Networking and Career Opportunities: Competitions and conferences offer students unique networking opportunities, allowing them to connect with industry professionals, alumni, and potential employers. These connections often lead to internships, job offers, and mentorship opportunities, helping students launch successful careers in their chosen fields.

Inclusive Access: We believe that every student should have the opportunity to participate in these life-changing experiences, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through the generosity of a donors like you, we can ensure that students, regardless of their background, have equal access to these invaluable opportunities, promoting diversity and inclusion in the business world.
