Business Men of Color (BMOC)

Business Men of Color (BusMoc) in the Pursuit of Excellence

Mission:

College of Business Administration BusMoC is committed to fostering a cohesive and enriching learning environment that enhances the personal and professional growth of each student in this cohort. Through the facilitation of peer mentoring, academic mentoring, and career mentoring, we aim to create a consistent platform for mutual support and guidance. Every Tuesday during the lunch hour, students will come together with mentors to engage in purposeful activities that challenge, inspire, and prepare them for a fulfilling academic journey and successful careers. Additionally, we will organize events featuring alumni, industry leaders, and corporate visits to provide real-world insights and networking opportunities. Our dedication lies in nurturing individuals who embrace academic excellence, discover their potential, and embark on a path toward rewarding careers.

Vision:

The Business Students, first time freshmen (FTF), men of color enrollment represent nearly 30 % of total enrollment. The BusMoC program intends to increase student retention by 10% YoY and 10% graduation after year 4.

Key Outcomes:

1.Building Community: We are better together because we celebrate our diversity and unity in the pursuit of excellence

2.Academic Success: From surviving to thriving

3.Career Exploration: Understanding the why of what you do
