Who We Are?

HU is a nationally recognized non-profit that was established in 1989 at the University of California Berkeley is now across 7 universities otherwise known as familias in California.

Our Vision

HU strives to increase the number of Latino males matriculating (To Stay) and graduating successfully from four-year institutions of

higher education.

The Mission

At HU we advance young Latino males into academic scholars, community leaders, and young professionals.

This is done by instilling the values represented through our three pillars; Academic Excellence, Community Service, and Social Interaction. Some of the many examples can be seen down below.

Through this our members will work to break down cultural stereotypes and strive to become “El Nuevo Hombre.”
