Support Education Department Scholarships!
The Education Department prepares candidates for the teaching profession. Through learn-by-doing, candidates receive real-world experiences working with expert mentor teachers, serving TK-12 students in the schools. They develop the skills, experiences, and disposition of a future teacher. In the Master of Arts in Education program, candidates are expanding their expertise in the teaching profession so they may be allies to TK-12 students through diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Your support to the Education Department’s Scholarship Fund will go toward two priorities:
- Teacher candidates who are about to enter Clinical Practice (Student Teaching). During this semester, teacher candidates are not able to earn an income because they are volunteering in the schools for the entire day, they are completing their requirements for the clinical practice, and they are submitting their high-stakes test of the Teacher Performance Assessment.
- Students in the Master of Arts in Education program who have exhausted their Financial Aid and only have their culminating experience to complete before graduation. This scholarship will enable graduate students to pay for their final semester of culminating-experience coursework, so they may graduate from the program.
