3 Panelists Speaking for Event

CCEP investigates how pressing global challenges—such as climate change, healthcare, housing, and misinformation. How do these challenges impact Californians in all their diversity and complexity, and how might California take the lead in overcoming them? Each year the Center draws together students and faculty from throughout the university to think critically and creatively about a particular theme, in partnership with local and national leaders in ethics and policy.

  • 2018-19: Health Care Justice and Health Access in California
  • 2019-20: War and the Military Experience in California’s Culture and Economy
  • 2020-21: The Housing Crisis and Housing Insecurity in California
  • 2021-22: California’s Climate Crisis
  • 2023-24: Misinformation in California

The Center also offers a full slate of broader community-based initiatives, including Election Fairs and reading groups—on campus, off campus, and online.
