Women in Tech

Inspired by her research about the underrepresentation of women in the field of Information Technology, Indira Guzman, an assistant professor in the Computer Information Systems department and director of the Mitchell Hill Center for Digital Innovation, spearheaded the formation of Women in Tech, or WIT, which marks CBA’s first club of its kind.

Women in Tech is not just a club, it is a movement aimed at bridging the gender gap in IT, empowering women, and leaving a lasting impact on the tech community. As the club gains momentum and support, it stands poised to inspire Women in Tech across the campus and beyond.

At Cal Poly Pomona, we believe in the power of diversity, inclusivity, and the boundless potential of women in technology. That's why we're thrilled to announce our upcoming "Women In Tech Scholarship" program, brought to you by Cal Poly Women In Tech (WIT).

Scholarship Details: We're raising $5,000 to provide three deserving and talented girls with the opportunity to pursue their dreams in technology. These scholarships will be awarded as follows:

- First Prize: $2,500

- Second Prize: $1,500

- Third Prize: $1,000

Your contribution, support, and advocacy are invaluable to us. Join us in this mission to empower women in technology and build a more diverse, inclusive, and innovative tech world. With your help, we can make a significant impact in the lives of these aspiring female tech leaders. Together, we can transform the tech industry for the better.
