The Cal Poly Pomona Steel Bridge Team is going to nationals!
We would like to ask for the support of fellow faculty, professionals, friends, and family to support us on this huge journey of competing in Nationals at Louisiana. We are participating on Giving Day to reach a wider audience and would really appreciate any support that you can give. With every dollar from this event, it will reduce the financial burden that our team has faced and is greatly appreciated. If you would like to support us please donate today!
The Cal Poly Pomona Steel Bridge Team consists of undergraduate engineering students who work together to plan, design, fabricate, and construct a one-tenth model steel bridge. Throughout our journey, we have grown so much as engineers, students, team mates, professionals, and individuals. Our team competed in regionals on April 6th, 2024 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where we have placed 2nd and aim for 1st in nationals.
With nationals approaching we need your support more than ever. We want to leave a legacy for Cal Poly Pomona Steel Bridge and we have pride and confidence that we can reach great heights but are in dire need of funding as our National competition will be held at Louisiana Tech University. If you would like to support us on this momentous journey, please consider pledging your support!
We Need Your Help!
This is the beginning of a legacy that our team wants for the California Polytechnic State University of Pomona. We have worked countless hours to make this bridge a winning bridge and we need your help to make it a reality. In order for us to aim high for nationals, we need funding to make it possible. Attached below are the costs that need to be covered in order for us to aim for great heights. Every dollar matters and spreading the word to friends, family, professors, companies, and organizations would mean so much to us! Even if you are not able to donate if you are to spread the word we will reach our goal! Please support us on this momentous journey as we go to nationals!!!
Our Achievements
A Message from Our Project Managers
To our alumni, family, friends, and future donors,
As Project Managers for the 2023-2024 CPP Steel Bridge Team, we have the incredible opportunity to lead a motivated, enthusiastic, and hard-working group of officers and general members. Our commitment to excellence has consistently earned our team top regional and national rankings, a true testament to our dedication, resilience, and passion.
The American Institute of Steel Construction released the new competition rules in early September, and the team has been dedicating numerous hours through all aspects of the process to continue our success. However, none of this would be possible without you, our sponsors!
We competed early April at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and won second place overall. This means, we are on our way to nationals at Louisiana Tech University! With both competitions taking place out of state this year, we are faced with heightened expenses for travel, materials, and tools on top of the need to meet an accelerated project timeline. The support we have received from donors like you in the past has been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals, and we once again find ourselves in need of your generosity to make winning a reality. By supporting CPP Steel Bridge, your help also provides us with incomparable real-world engineering experiences that we cannot get in the traditional classroom setting.
Our bridge design and construction team, along with our dedicated members, form a winning team and all we ask is for the opportunity to show our worth! We invite you to join us on this momentous journey by donating to our team. Your support not only empowers us to excel in our immediate goals but also ensures the growth of our skills and knowledge, which will have a long-lasting impact on our professional careers.
Thank you so much for being a crucial part of our journey towards success. We look forward to making you proud and representing excellence in everything we do!
Best,
Taylor Jaseph & Jordan Chung
