Bronco Racing: Baja SAE
Help Support the Bronco Racing Team!

What is Baja SAE?

Bronco Racing: Baja SAE is a student-led non-profit engineering organization that designs, manufactures, and races an off-road vehicle to compete against more than 150 national and international universities. Students who join Baja SAE are exposed to the full-length engineering design process and learn valuable skills including leadership, research, and communication. Team members are a part of a supportive community, a network of alumni, and sponsors with experience within the industry.

Current Circumstances

The Baja SAE team is excited to be participating in the upcoming competition in Gorman, California from April 25th to April 28, and Williamsport, Pennsylvania from May 16th to May 19th. Our team has been hard at work manufacturing our vehicle and preparing for design presentations. Based on our performance at last year's competition and the design changes we have made this year, we are confident that we will be one of the top 10 teams this year.

However, due to various challenges, our team has experienced some setbacks in terms of manufacturing capability and skills. Additionally, we require an increased amount of data acquisition equipment to verify our vehicle's performance. This has resulted in a steeper learning curve and higher costs for materials and equipment.

Therefore, we are participating in Giving Day to request support from donors to help us fund the completion of our vehicle. Your monetary donation will go towards manufacturing parts such as our data acquisition enclosures, wiring harness, trasmission tuning components, powertrain guarding, gearboxes, brake components, body panels, carbon fiber seat materials, safety equipment, machined parts materials, welding supplies, and hardware. We appreciate any contribution towards our goal, and spreading the word to others who may be interested would also make a difference. Thank you for your consideration.
