CEIS Excellence

The College of Education and Integrative Studies Excellence Fund supports CEIS students through scholarships, experiential learning opportunities, and resources that help future educators thrive. Your support provides critical financial assistance and hands-on learning experiences that empower students to pursue careers in education, community leadership, and community impact.

A gift to the Excellence Fund directly supports:

Student Success

  • Scholarships for CEIS students, including the Afrofuturism Fellowship, the C3W Fellowship, and the Ramirez Scholarship, along with many more opportunities
  • Funding that reduces financial barriers so students can focus on learning, leadership, and campus impact

High-Impact Learning

  • Fellowships that support innovative student projects exploring creativity, equity, and systems change in education
  • Community-engaged research, interdisciplinary learning, and leadership development opportunities

Community Engagement

  • Partnerships with schools, community organizations, and campus collaborators
  • Student-led initiatives that promote belonging, creativity, and social impact while preparing future educators to serve diverse communities

Student Impact

“Through the Afrofuturism Fellowship, I was able to turn my passion for history and community into action.” - Afrofuturism Fellow DeVoneia Jordan.

She transformed an idea into a campus-wide project by restoring and relocating a historic Martin Luther King Jr. plaque to a prominent location near the Black Resource Center. Jordan’s work reflects the impact of CEIS fellowships empowering students to lead meaningful projects, strengthen community connections, and create lasting change across campus and beyond.
