BEYOND THE CLASSROOM Experiences

The difference between wishful thinking and real-world problem solving is all in the doing. At the College of Engineering, students learn to think beyond what’s already been done to make it better than ever. They put theory to work through hands-on exposure, real-world application and cutting-edge research — preparing them to enter an array of industries with utmost experience, confidence and problem-solving abilities. At Cal Poly Pomona, you don’t just learn by doing. You become by doing, both in the classroom and BEYOND.

Your gifts in support of BEYOND the Classroom Experiences will provide funds to hire and train student lab technicians, extend hours of operation, and provide resources necessary to sustain student clubs, competition teams, and student projects utilizing the Bronco Student Design Lab.

All gifts to BEYOND the Classroom Experiences will be matched dollar for dollar up to $2,000 thanks to Larry Gates '87 & Amy Gates.

Alumni Decade Boost
One randomly selected CPP alum from each decade will have their donation boosted by $200. (Donation must be made by 8 p.m. PT on March 19 to be eligible.)

Four CPP student donations will be randomly selected and given a $100 glow-up to make their impact shine! (Donation must be made by 8 p.m. PT on March 19 to be eligible.)

Kick-off Match
Starting at 9 a.m. PT on March 18, donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000 until funds run out. Eligible for gifts between $5 - $1,000.

One donation of $25 or more made will be randomly selected and given a $1,000 boost! (Donation must be made by 8 p.m. PT on March 18 to be eligible.)

A CPP faculty member's donation will randomly selected and powered up by $500! (Donation must be made by 8 p.m. PT on March 19 to be eligible.)
