NSBE CPP: Building the Future of Engineering

The Cal Poly Pomona National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is dedicated to empowering the next generation of Black engineers, leaders who excel academically, thrive professionally, and make a lasting impact on their communities. Through technical workshops, professional development, and community outreach, NSBE CPP helps students overcome barriers and opens doors to careers in STEM.

Our Recent Impact: The 2025-2026 academic year has been a period of historic momentum for our chapter. Your support directly fuels these tangible outcomes:

  • Regional Success: We successfully funded and sent 20 members to the NSBE Region VI Conference in Oakland, providing them with invaluable networking and career opportunities.
  • Professional Exposure: Our members gained first-hand experience through technical tours, such as the LADWP Tujunga Well Field Facility, where they explored critical water infrastructure and environmental engineering.
  • Leadership & Advocacy: We secured over $9,000 in additional funding from ASI and established partnerships with industry leaders like Boeing and SoCal Edison to ensure our programs remain accessible to all.
  • Career Readiness: We’ve hosted high-impact workshops, including Salary Negotiation sessions, to prepare our members for the professional workforce.

Why Your Gift Matters: Your contribution allows us to scale our reach even further. This year, our goal is to raise funds to support our REACH K-12 Outreach initiative, fund technical skill-building workshops, and provide scholarships that offer financial relief to our hard-working student members. Together, we are building the future of engineering. Join us in making a lasting difference today!
