From supporting undergraduate research projects and professional development programs to expanding access to media equipment and scholarships, your generosity creates transformative pathways to success for the next generation of strategic communication practitioners, journalists, content creators, consultants, and leaders.
Your generosity will support the following Communication Department initiatives:
- Access to student travel funding for research, academic conferences, and other professional development opportunities
- Support for student-centered events (COM Day, Alumni Night) and field trips for our new COM Experience classes
- Launch of an equipment loaner program that provides students with access to DSLR cameras, mics, stabilizers, podcasting stations, and content creation tools
- Technology and infrastructure improvements to our newly expanded COM student lounge, which provides workspaces and a community hub exclusively for COM majors and minors.
- Increase the number of annual awards to the $1,000 Communication Legacy Scholarship
- Expansion of networking, job shadowing, and mentoring programs
All proceeds directly benefit our community-centered department of 400 students studying communication studies, multimedia journalism, and public relations.
