Cal Poly Rose Float is a proud tradition of student innovation, teamwork and excellence shared by Cal Poly Pomona and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. On January 1, 2026, the student built float Jungle Jumpstart earned the prestigious Sweepstakes Trophy at the Rose Parade, the highest honor recognizing outstanding design, floral presentation and entertainment. Since 1949, students from both campuses have designed, built, financed and decorated the float year round, earning 61 awards while competing against professional builders with far larger budgets.

Your support helps students continue this remarkable legacy of learn by doing through hands on experience in design, construction, operations and decorations.
